The Vincent SV-737MK is the updated version of Vincent's flagship hybrid stereo integrated amplifier. A tube preamp stage feeds a high-power transistor amplifier, delivering 180 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 300 watts into 4 ohms, with the first 10 watts per channel into 8 ohms in Class A.
Based on customer feedback, Vincent reworked the connections. An HDMI ARC input replaces the old Wi-Fi module, so your TV plugs straight in, and a dedicated pre out and Main In input replace the earlier jumper links. Inside, the proven circuitry carries over. It comes in Black or Silver.
The preamp uses two gain blocks with a switchable tone control. 6N2P double-triode tubes handle voltage amplification, and two 6N1P tubes with high-current cathodes serve as the driver and buffer stages. The high-voltage supply, adopted from Vincent's SA-T7 MK preamp, pairs an 85A2 voltage reference tube with a solid-state regulator for a low-noise, virtually hum-free supply. A lit front window shows the tubes, and the remote dims or turns off the light.
The power section is based on Vincent's SV-237MKII, with an optimized input cascode circuit for better transient response into complex speaker loads and more output power. Vincent says the combination with the tube preamp gives a sound reminiscent of high-quality single-ended triode amplifiers, with far more power.
A built-in D/A converter takes two optical, two coaxial and one HDMI ARC input. Bluetooth streams from your phone or tablet. On the front, a 6.3 mm headphone jack drives headphones from 32 to 600 ohms and switches the speakers off while you listen.
The SV-737MK is a complete stereo amplifier: connect your sources and speakers, and you are ready to play. Speaker A and B buttons let you run one pair, the other, or both. One pair can be 4 ohms or higher; when you run two pairs together, every speaker must be 8 ohms or higher.
The Main In input (RCA) bypasses the preamp, so a home theater processor can use the SV-737MK to power your front left and right speakers. A pre out can feed a second amplifier, a record out feeds a recorder at a fixed level, and two 12V power-control outputs switch other components on and off with the amp.
What it will not do: there is no phono input, no XLR balanced input, and no Wi-Fi or network streaming. Its HDMI ARC input does not support CEC, so your TV remote will not change its volume.
Complete your system:
The connections. HDMI ARC replaces the Wi-Fi module, and a dedicated pre out and Main In input replace the jumper links between the preamp and power amp sections. Vincent kept the proven circuitry.
Two 6N1P, two 6N2P and one 85A2.
Yes, through the HDMI ARC input or an optical input. The HDMI ARC input does not support CEC, so use the Vincent remote for volume.
Yes. With the TONE button released, the bass and treble controls are bypassed.
Yes. It switches off after about 15 minutes without use. You can turn this off with the AUTO switch on the back panel.
The amplifier, a power cable, a remote control, a Bluetooth antenna, a 3.5 mm power-control cable, an optical (Toslink) cable and the manual.
