Kimber Kable describes Cadence as a subwoofer cable that gives outstanding deep, tight bass in a favorable, flexible format. Its transient response is fast and articulate, yet with realistic musicality. Kimber positions it as the last subwoofer cable you will need to buy.
Other length & termination options are available. Call us to discuss your needs.
Kimber says Cadence addresses issues like hum and static in subwoofer applications. Its conductors are copper.
For the standard termination, Kimber publishes a parallel capacitance of 161.5 pF, a series inductance of 0.37 uH and a DC loop resistance of 0.0375 ohm.
Cadence comes with Kimber's Ultraplate Black RCA plug or the WBT 0114 Cu RCA plug, as shown in the listing title. Kimber's Ultraplate is precision machined from solid metal stock, with a solid fluorocarbon dielectric and a split center pin. The WBT 0114 Cu is a 75-ohm connector that uses copper for its contacts.
Connect one end to the subwoofer output of your receiver, preamp or processor, and the other to the line-level input on your subwoofer. Push each plug straight on until it seats, and pull it off by the barrel, never by the cable. Then play something with deep bass and set your subwoofer's level to taste.
Measure the route the cable will really take from your electronics to your subwoofer, around furniture and along the baseboard. Then add a little slack. As audio legend George Cardas puts it, "A cable that's just long enough usually turns out to be just not long enough."
Subwoofers often sit far from the electronics. If yours does, we recommend a long interconnect rather than a long speaker cable. A really long interconnect affects system performance less than a really long speaker cable.
A subwoofer cable often stays in a system for years, so it is easy to overlook. Look again when something else changes: a new subwoofer, a new receiver or preamp, or a move to a bigger room.
A subwoofer cable joins your electronics to your subwoofer. These are the categories on either end of it.
Both are RCA. The Ultraplate Black plug is Kimber's default option. The WBT 0114 Cu uses copper contacts and is a 75-ohm design.
Kimber calls it the last subwoofer cable you will need to buy.
Kimber Kable offers a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser from an authorized Kimber dealer.
