The Vincent SV-600 is the first integrated amplifier in Vincent's new solidLine 2.0 series. After several years of hybrid tube designs, Vincent returned to purely transistor-based gear, and the three-section front panel and twin VU meters pay homage to the original solidLine models.
It delivers 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 306 watts per channel into 4 ohms, with the first 10 watts per channel into 8 ohms in pure Class A. It comes in Black or Silver.
A FET differential amplifier feeds a common-base transistor stage. Vincent says this gives a very fast response (high slew rate), an exceptionally clean signal and stable behavior with difficult speaker loads.
The output stage uses 16 high-performance transistors. They draw on a high-power toroidal transformer and 40,000 µF of filter capacitors, which Vincent credits for deep, precise and powerful bass. The amp weighs 21.9 kg (48.3 lb).
Alongside six analog inputs (five RCA and one balanced XLR), a built-in D/A converter accepts optical, coaxial and HDMI ARC sources. A Bluetooth module with an external antenna streams music from any phone or tablet.
The SV-600 is a one-box amplifier for a stereo system: connect your sources and speakers, and you are ready to play. Speaker A and B buttons let you run one pair, the other, or both. One pair can be 4 ohms or higher; when you run two pairs together, every speaker must be 8 ohms or higher.
Two Main In inputs (RCA and XLR) bypass the preamp section, so a home theater processor can use the SV-600 to power your front left and right speakers. A pre out follows the volume control and can feed a second amplifier or a powered subwoofer. Two 12V power-control outputs switch other components on and off with the amp.
What it will not do: there is no phono input, no headphone jack and no Wi-Fi or network streaming. It has no bass, treble or balance controls, and its HDMI ARC input does not support CEC, so your TV remote will not change its volume.
Complete your system:
Vincent calls it a Class A integrated amplifier. Its first 10 watts per channel into 8 ohms are pure Class A, and it delivers up to 200 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 306 watts into 4 ohms.
Yes, through the HDMI ARC input or the optical input. The HDMI ARC input does not support CEC, so use the Vincent remote for volume.
Yes, with one pair connected. If you run Speaker A and B pairs at the same time, every speaker must be rated at 8 ohms or higher.
The GAIN button on the remote lowers the output by 8 dB, which helps with very efficient speakers.
Yes. It switches off after about 15 minutes without use. You can turn this off with the AUTO switch on the back panel.
The amplifier, a power cable, a remote control, a Bluetooth antenna, a 3.5 mm power-control cable, an optical (Toslink) cable and the manual.
