Room correction is only as good as the measurement behind it. A phone’s built-in microphone can work in a pinch, but it was never designed for the job. The EverSolo EM-01 is a dedicated omnidirectional measurement microphone built to work with Eversolo streamers for room calibration.
It also works with measurement software such as REW and Dirac, so you can measure speakers or check a room on a computer. Each EM-01 comes with its own unique calibration file. It plugs in by USB-C and works with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
The kit includes the microphone, a desktop tripod stand, and a microphone holder. You also get a windscreen, a 3-meter USB-C to USB-A cable, and a 1-meter USB-C to USB-C OTG cable for phones and tablets. The aluminum alloy body is 155 mm long and weighs 47 grams.
Inside is a 6 mm electret condenser capsule feeding a 24-bit, 48 kHz converter. With its calibration file loaded, frequency response is rated at 20 Hz to 20 kHz, ±1 dB. That file corrects for the small differences between individual capsules, so the software sees your room rather than the microphone.
Sensitivity is −13 dBFS, ±2 dB, at 1 kHz, and the noise level is −84 dBFS, A-weighted. It handles up to 130 dB SPL at 1% THD. Power comes from the USB connection alone, and it uses the standard UAC 1.0 protocol, so no driver is needed.
Plug the EM-01 into your Eversolo streamer, computer, or phone with the matching cable. Scan the QR code on the box to get its calibration file, then load that file in your room correction or measurement software. Mount the mic at your main listening position, at ear height, and keep the room quiet while it measures. Measure once, listen better.
Put your measurements to work with these components:
Eversolo designed it for its streamers with room calibration, such as the DMP-A8 and DMP-A10. Keep your streamer’s firmware up to date, and check Eversolo’s support pages for your specific model.
Scan the QR code on the packaging. Each microphone has its own unique file, so keep the box or save the file somewhere safe.
Yes. Eversolo lists REW and Dirac among the supported measurement software. It works with Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android without extra drivers.
The included stand is a desktop tripod. To place the microphone at seated ear height, set it on a stable surface at your listening position or use a taller mic stand.
