AudioQuest's Dragon eARC-Priority is built for a TV that sends its sound to a receiver or soundbar. They are full 48Gbps cables for the picture, but the best metal goes to the eARC pair and its ground drain, the path your sound actually takes. Here that means 100% silver eARC conductors and a 100% silver ground drain, with Level-7 Noise-Dissipation.
AudioQuest says the eARC data pair and the ground-reference drain in Dragon eARC-Priority use 100% silver, the same ingredients as its flagship Dragon 48. Level-7 Noise-Dissipation adds solid silver drains to the 72-volt Dielectric-Bias System, the graphene and carbon mesh, and direction-controlled conductors.
AudioQuest says these are full-on 48-Series HDMI cables with the 48Gbps bandwidth for 8K and 10K video. The main audio/video pairs use solid 0.5% silver-plated Long-Grain Copper with Level-3 Noise-Dissipation. The eARC pair and the ground drain use the same ingredients as the matching 48 cable.
Dragon eARC-Priority ends in a full-size HDMI plug at each end. HDMI is the flat 19-pin plug on every TV, projector, receiver and console. One cable carries picture, sound and the control signals that let the devices talk. Arrows on the plugs show which way to run it.
Run the cable from the socket marked eARC or ARC on your TV to the eARC input on your receiver or soundbar. Follow the arrows AudioQuest prints on the plugs. Then turn eARC on in the sound menu of the TV and of the receiver.
Then press play. Other and longer lengths available. Call for prices.
An HDMI cable is one link in a home theater chain. It usually joins these categories.
In AudioQuest's words, the Audio Return Channel sends audio from the TV to a soundbar, receiver or ARC input. The enhanced version, eARC, is easier to use and enables lossless multichannel sound. Both the TV and the receiver need an eARC socket.
AudioQuest's most complete shield. It adds 100% Perfect-Surface Silver drain wires to the 72-volt Dielectric-Bias System, the graphene and carbon mesh network, and the direction-controlled conductors of the levels below it.
AudioQuest says its 48 cables can transfer up to professional 10K Ultra HD video, support Dynamic HDR, and have the conductors and bandwidth eARC needs. Four balanced audio/video pairs each carry 12Gbps to reach the 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 rate.
AudioQuest says increasingly thick layers of silver are applied to its Long-Grain Copper to improve Noise-Dissipation. Placing the superior metal on the outside of the conductor produces the greatest benefit, which it calls a superbly cost-effective way to maximize a digital cable.
A limited lifetime warranty to the original owner, for cables bought from an authorized US dealer such as Audio Advisor. AudioQuest will repair or replace a defective cable that has not been abused. Keep your proof of purchase.
Not in the AudioQuest eARC-Priority range we carry. Dragon eARC-Priority is the top of that ladder. If you want to go further, call us and we will talk through the whole chain.
